Veteran India spinner Yuzvendra Chahal came up with a hilarious reply to Aakash Chopra’s suggestion, saying sixes more than 100 metres should be given 8 runs. Chopra’s comments came after Punjab Kings all-rounder Liam Livingstone struck a 108-meter six during their game against Chennai Super Kings.

Although it is early in the tournament, we have witnessed some big hits already from the batters. On Sunday, Livingstone launched a carnage at the Brabourne Stadium taking on the Chennai bowlers.

He struck five mammoth sixes during his 32-ball 60-run knock which included a 108-meter six. Impressed by Liam Livingstone’s mammoth six, Aakash Chopra took to Twitter and wrote:

“100+ metre six should be given an 8.”

Yuzvendra Chahal in a hilarious attempt, replied to the tweet saying that even three dot balls in the match should result in one wicket.

“Three dot balls should be 1 wicket bhaiya,” Chahal responded.

Aakash Chopra finally came up with a sensible reply where he explained the advantage it will cater to the bowlers. The cricket expert wrote:

“Three wickets in a spell should allow the bowler to bowl an extra over also, Imagine someone trying to hit you for a 100-metre six (because it’s an 8), good chance that he’ll lose shape…risk-reward.”

Liam Livingstone powers Punjab Kings to a brilliant win

The English all-rounder produced an all-round effort to rout defending champions Chennai by 58 runs at the Brabourne Stadium on Sunday.

After an impressive show with the bat, Livingstone picked up two crucial wickets with the ball to help Punjab secure their second win of IPL 2022.

Punjab Kings now have two wins under their belt in three matches and are fourth in the IPL 2022 points table.
