All the cricket lovers in India are focused on the upcoming T20 World Cup 2022 in Australia, but on the other hand, the Indian domestic season has also started. The players are grinding it out to make a case for themselves ahead of the upcoming home seasons.

The domestic season is very important in terms of selection for the Test series against Bangladesh, scheduled to take place in November and all the players will try to perform well in it.

In this article we will take a look at three players who might break into the Indian team for the Test series against Bangladesh.

#1 Sarfaraz Khan

Mumbai’s run machine Sarfaraz Khan is currently having a dream run with the bat. Sarfaraz has scored a mountain of runs in the first class cricket in the last two years. He has smashed nine hundreds and five half-centuries in his last 24 first-class innings at an average of over 125 with over 2,200 runs.

Sarfraz has scored centuries in Ranji Trophy final, Duleep Trophy final and Irani Cup Final in 2022. Looking at Sarfraz’s performance, many experts have suggested that he should get a chance in the Test team as soon as possible.

#2 Yashasvi Jaiswal

Sarfraz Khan’s Mumbai teammate Yashasvi Jaiswal is also in great form with the bat at the moment. Yashasvi’s performances in the Ranji Trophy 2022 and Duleep Trophy final are the talk of the town.

The southpaw is also the fastest to reach 1000 runs in first-class cricket, equaling Amol Mujumdar and Rishi Modi. If regular openers Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul are rested for the series against Bangladesh, Yashasvi may get a chance to showcase his talent at the highest level.

#3 Saurabh Kumar

Uttar Pradesh’s left-arm spinner Saurabh Kumar has also come very close to making it to Team India in the last few years. Saurabh was also named in India’s 18-man squad for the Test series against Sri Lanka earlier this year. He has performed consistently well in the last few years and is knocking on the doors.

If India’s star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja does not recover from injury soon, Saurabh Kumar may also be included in India’s playing XI for the series against Bangladesh.
