1. Most wins by an Indian captain in ODI cricket
The list has to end with a captaincy record of the legendary Mahendra Singh Dhoni. He became India’s skipper in 2008 and captained the side for eight years. Dhoni in his tenure as ODI skipper became arguably the greatest limited-overs skipper the world has ever seen.
His numbers as an ODI skipper is simply mindboggling as he won 110 matches out of 200 in which he captained the Men in Blue. This is a record for any Indian captain with Mohammad Azharuddin and Sourav Ganguly coming in at 2 and 3 with 90 and 76 wins respectively.
MS Dhoni has a winning percentage of 59.52 which makes him a transcendent leader. Ricky Ponting is the only captain that has more wins as ODI skipper than Dhoni with 165 victories to his name.
