Sreesanth is leaving no stones unturned as he eyes a miraculous comeback in the Indian team. The fast bowler’s career took an unexpected turn as he was banned from cricket in 2013. Sreesanth was involved in spot-fixing during an Indian Premier League (IPL) playing for the Rajasthan Royal.

Sreesanth now is looking forward to a fresh beginning and still has ambitions for representing India again. The 37-year-old was once considered a future great Indian fast bowler early on in his career. He was part of the world cup winning squad in 2007 and 2011.

The fast-bowler from Kerala admitted that he firmly believes in having one team for all formats of the game. He also credited Suresh Raina and praised the left-handed batsman. Sreesanth believes that the T20 captaincy should be given to Rohit Sharma whereas Virat Kohli can lead the Indian side in the other two formats.

“I firmly believe in one team for all formats. Suresh Raina is someone who deserves a lot more appreciation. And with all due respect to Virat, Rohit will captain in T20s and Kohli can take the captain’s band in all other formats’, he said.

The speedster has so far represented India in 27 Tests, 53 ODIs and 10 T20Is respectively. Sreesanth will be available to play all forms of cricket from 13th September 2020 after seven years ban.

Sreesanth’s India XI:

Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan, Virat Kohli, Suresh Raina, KL Rahul, MS Dhoni, Hardik Pandya, Ravindra Jadeja, Kuldeep Yadav, Jasprit Bumrah, Sreesanth.
