Ravisrinivasan Sai Kishore is a 24-year-old cricketer from Tamil Nadu. He is a slow left-arm orthodox bowler and left-handed batsman. Kishore was bought by Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at the end of the Indian Premier League 2020 auction. Kishore had the base price of 20 lakh and he was bought at the same price by Chennai Super Kings ( CSK ).
He made his debut for Tamil Nadu in the year 2016-17 during the Vijay Hazare Trophy. Sai Kishore is a product of the Tamil Nadu Premier League (TNPL). Also, he was praised by many for his slow left-arm orthodox spin. He performed brilliantly in the first two seasons however after that he went through a rough patch. Meanwhile, he improved his performance once again while working with former Tamil Nadu spinner, Ramkumar.
Talking about R Sai Kishore’s IPL journey, he participated in trials of several IPL franchises but was unable to get into the final squad. Kishore attended trials of Mumbai Indians (MI) and he was a net bowler for Punjab Kings (PBKS) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK ). However, his dream came true when he was picked by Chennai Super Kings in the IPL auction.
Meanwhile In 2021 Sai Kishore was named amongst the five net bowlers of India tour of Sri Lanka limited-overs tour. Also, he was drafted to the main squad after the unavailability of several players due to the Covid-19 spread.

#5. R Sai Kishore is a huge fan of Ravichandran Ashwin
The young left-arm spinner admires the veteran Indian spinner Ravichandran Ashwin. He relates to Ashwin because of both of them are tall spinners. Also, Sai believes that he can have a massive successful career like India’s great Test spinner R Ashwin. Notably, Sai Kishore shared a dressing room with R Ashwin during his Tamil Nadu debut.
Also, he will be looking forward to spending some time with India’s highest-ranked Test bowler of 2021. Also, both Ashwin and Kishore share the same jersey number which is 99.
#4. R Sai Kishore was the leading wicket-taker in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy in 2019
The left-arm finished the 2019 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy season with the tag of highest wicket-taker. He performed brilliantly in the tournament and impressed everybody with his performance. Meanwhile, in 12 matches, Kishore picked 20 scalps.
His economy rate was also very impressive which was 4.63. Notably, 15 out of the 20 wickets he picked were in the powerplay, which shows his capability to get a breakthrough in the early stage.

Kishore was involved in a heated spat which led to his inspiration Ravichandran Ashwin giving him a class. During the TNPL 2016 Sai had an ugly spat with batsman N Jagadeesan. After Kishore dismissed Jagadeesan, he went on to do the wild celebration. He even pushed N Jagadeesan during the celebration.
However, R Ashwin was on the other hand who came to stop the spat. Ashwin seemed disappointed with Sai and even gave him class for bad behavior on the field.
#2. R Sai Kishore got smacked by MS Dhoni for which he received advice from Harbhajan Singh
During the 2019 IPL, R Sai Kishore was a part of the pre-season camp of Dhoni-led CSK. During that time he bowled to the leader of CSK in the first two days. However, during that time, he was smashed by Dhoni all over the ground. Meanwhile India’s veteran spinner Harbhajan Singh was observing the move by Kishore. Soon Sai decided to get some advice from Harbhajan Singh on what to do if someone like Dhoni goes berserk against him.
The veteran spinner gave the youngster advice to not panic and back his abilities. Notably, Sai Kishore followed the advice of Harbhajan and did very well in the next few sessions against Dhoni. Moreover, during one session, he didn’t let the former Indian captain hit him even a single six.
