7) Deepak Chahar (CSK) | BCCI Contract – 1 crore | IPL Contract – 80 lakhs

Deepak Chahar

The right-hand medium-pacer from Uttar Pradesh plies his trade for Chennai Super Kings in the IPL. He is Dhoni’s designated powerplay bowler, mostly finishing his spell in the first 10 overs. Deepak Chahar is well known for his ability to swing the new ball.

He has the best bowling figures in T20I – 6/7 he took against Bangladesh at Vidarbha Cricket Stadium in Nagpur. His central contract is of Grade ‘C’, which is 1crore while his IPL Contract is currently at 80 lakhs.

6) Umesh Yadav (DC) | BCCI Contract – 3 crores | IPL Contract – 1 crore

Umesh Yadav

The 33-year-old was released by Royal Challengers Bangalore ahead of the 2021 IPL Auction. He tends to be on the wrong side of the economy, owing to inconsistency. In a format like T20, the batsman will be quick to pounce on the bad deliveries.

Luckily for Umesh however, Delhi Capitals acquired his services for the 2021 IPL season. He was bought for his base price of 1crore, which happens to be three times lesser than the amount he earns from his central contract (Grade ‘B’).
