The Karnataka batsman partners skipper KL Rahul at the top of the order for Punjab Kings. He’s the aggressor in the line-up, having scored 1136 runs at an excellent strike rate of 145.08 for PBKS.
Although recently Mayank lost his place in the Test side to up-and-coming youngster Shubman Gill, he has a hefty contract with the BCCI where he earns 3 crores (Grade ‘B’). Playing for the Punjab franchise, the stylish batsman has an IPL contract of 1 cr.
4) Ishant Sharma (DC) | BCCI Contract – 5 crores | IPL Contract – 1.1 crores
The tall Indian pacer doesn’t particularly have all the skills to compete in the shortest format of the game. However, just like Deepak Chahar, Ishant can provide his services at the start of the innings. He plays for the Delhi Capitals after they bought him in the 2019 IPL Auction.
Being the leader of the pack for India in Test cricket, Ishant is part of the Grade ‘A’ scheme, where he earns 5 crores. In the IPL however, the lanky pacer has a contract of 1.1 cr with the Delhi franchise.
