Saha has the unique record of being the first player to score a hundred in an IPL Final. He did it against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) while playing for Kings XI Punjab. Although Punjab lost the final held at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Saha had made an impact on the franchises.
As a result, he was bought by Sunrisers Hyderabad in the 2019 IPL Auction. Although he was a backup-keeper for Jonny Bairstow initially, Saha made the most of his chances and was a regular member in 2020 IPL.
He earns 1.2 crores from his IPL contract and belongs to Grade ‘B’ (3 crores) under BCCI’s central contracts.
2) Shardul Thakur (CSK) | BCCI Contract – 3 crores | IPL Contract – 2.6 crores
Shardul Thakur has quickly developed as a bowling all-rounder under MS Dhoni. He showed his skills in both the departments in India’s famous win at ‘The Gabba’. He’s a potent option with the ball in hand, with variations that suit the T20 format very well.
Thakur, who debuted in the IPL for Kings XI Punjab, was bought by Chennai Super Kings in the 2019 IPL Auction. His central contract with the BCCI is worth 3 crores, while the Chennai franchise has him employed for 2.6 crores.
1) Mohammad Shami (PBKS) | BCCI Contract – 5 crores | IPL Contract – 4.8 crores
The pacer from Uttar Pradesh is a major part of India’s revolutionary bowling attack. He’s a force to be reckoned with in Test and can equally perform in the shortest format as well. He is part of the Punjab Kings set-up in the 2021 IPL Season.
Although the franchise from Punjab has had poor seasons for quite a while now, Shami has done reasonably well. He has picked up 47 wickets at an average of 24.74. He possesses a hefty contract of 4.8 crores in the IPL, while his BCCI contract has him earning in Grade ‘A’ (5 crores).
