Australia have named their playing XI for the second Test match to be played at Adelaide Oval in a day-night affair starting from 8 December 2022. Steve Smith has been appointed as the captain for this match as Pat Cummins has been ruled out of the Test due to an injury. The teams look settled with Usman Khawaja and David Warner opening the innings for Australia.
Marnus Labuschagne, Steve Smith, Travis Head, Cameron Green, and Alex Carey comprise the middle order. The pace bowling department comprises Mitchell Starc and Josh Hazlewood. Micheal Neser replaces Pat Cummins while Scott Boland will replace Josh Hazlewood in the playing XI. Nathan Lyon is the lone spinner included in the playing XI.
Australia took a 1-0 lead with a 164-run win in the first Test match played at Optus Stadium, Perth. Steve Smith captained the team as Cummins did not bowl during the 2nd innings.
The Aussies would be looking to dominate the West Indies side in the second Test and help to consolidate their number 1 spot in the ICC World Test Championship cycle. Australia has a brilliant record in day-night Test matches on home soil winning all nine encounters they have played so far.

Australia dominated the West Indies side as Marnus Labuschagne, and Steve Smith scored double centuries in the first innings of the first Test as the hosts declared their innings on 598 for 4. Despite Tangerine Chanderpaul and Kraigg Braithwaite’s resistance, Australia skittled West Indies for 283 in their first innings.
Marnus Labuschagne produced another dominating display of batting remaining not out on 104 as Australia declared their innings on 182 for 2 setting West Indies’ target of 498.
Tangerine Chanderpaul and Kraigg Braithwaite put up 116 runs partnership for the opening wicket. Nathan Lyon was the pick of bowlers for Australia with 6 wickets. Alazzari Joseph and Roston Chase frustrated Australian bowling but ended the job taking tailenders cheaply.
