The Mumbai Indians skipper Harmanpreet Kaur celebrated her birthday on Wednesday, March 8 with her teammates in the hotel. The franchise has been in terrific form in the ongoing 2023 Women’s Premier League and was in a celebratory mood. They shared a video from the cake-cutting ceremony on social media.
Harmanpreet Kaur was born in 1989 and turned 34 years old this year. She cut a cake in the Mumbai Indians team room, with the rest of the members wishing her a ‘Happy Birthday’. Sharing the celebration video on social media, the Mumbai Indians wrote, “Happy Harman Day š (Skipper ne bas bola toh bas š) #HappyBirthdayHarmanĀ #MumbaiIndiansĀ #OneFamilyĀ #AaliRe”

“I was like, yes she is talented” – Jhulan Goswami recalls meeting Harmanpreet Kaur for the first time
Mumbai Indians shared a video of the players wishing Harmanpreet Kaur on her birthday. Bowling coach Jhulan Goswami recalled the first time she met the right-handed batter. She revealed that Harmanpreet hit huge sixes in the nets, which made Jhulan believe that the batter is talented. Jhulan said,
“I met for the first time in Australia when she made her debut. The first day, she came to the nets and started hitting huge sixes. I was like, yes she is talented. I remember how she’d eat a lot of butter chicken and naan then.”
Amelia Kerr also recalled her first memory of Harmanpreet Kaur. She said,
“One of my first memories of Harmanpreet was at the 2018 World Cup. In Guyana we played there, unfortunately, she got a hundred against us and put us out of the tournament.”
