According to AB de Villiers, It is very difficult to pick a favorite for the World Test Championship (WTC) final.

Beginning on June 7 at The Oval in London, the teams led by Rohit Sharma and Pat Cummins will square off in the championship game.

When asked to predict the favorites and likely winners during the game preview on JioCinema, De Villiers gave the following answers:

“Very difficult to identify the favorites. The last Test match between the two teams was played at the Oval, and while neither team has played a ton of Test cricket lately”.

“I can say that India defeated this extremely talented England team. They’ll gain a little bit of assurance from that.”

The former South African captain continued:

“On the fifth day of the Test match, I predict India will win. It might succeed, in my opinion”.

“Although the wicket is favorable for batting, I believe the Indian spinners will become more important as the Test match progresses”.

AB De Villiers predicts that India will win the WTC final

Since the four-match series the two teams played earlier this year. Neither Australia nor India have participated in a Test match.

Virat Kohli is chosen by AB de Villiers as the Indian batter who will have to do the bulk of the work because “he wants to prove a point”.

When asked to choose an Indian batter who will have to carry the bulk of the load in the WTC final, AB de Villiers chose Virat Kohli, citing:

“I’m only going to mention one person who has always been enthusiastic about all of these kinds of series, particularly in the UK and Australia”.

“He has been on the road in order to make a statement about Virat Kohli everywhere he goes”.

“I’m glad to see him enjoying himself while playing cricket. I look forward to watching him succeed in the UK once more “.

De Villiers was then asked to name the important bowler in India’s attack without Jasprit Bumrah, to which he responded:

“Bumrah is a big loss for the Indian bowling attack. But Mohammed Siraj, in my opinion, is at the top of his game”.

“Previously, he had success there. He has an extra burst of speed. He nips it around off-stump, and in my opinion, he is India’s bowling attack’s most valuable asset “.

In the WTC final, Mohammad Shami and Mohammed Siraj are anticipated to share the new ball.
