Team India stalwarts Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma are two of the modern-day geats in limited-overs cricket. They have been the pillars behind India’s dominant run in the international arena. A longstanding debate has been going on regarding the best among the two and recently, former Mohammad Kaif shared his opinion on the same.
While Kohli is the only batsman in the world to average over 50 in all the formats, Rohit’s ability to murder bowling units make him a lethal component. Rohit had an excellent last year where he knocked five centuries in the ICC World Cup 2019. Incidentally, the India vice-captain is the only player in history to attain the record.

Recently, former India cricketer Mohammad Kaif chose Rohit Sharma to watch batting over Virat Kohli in a recent chat with Sportsceen on their YouTube channel. However, Kaif went on to add that India skipper Kohli is on another level across formats.
“If you ask me, I will love to watch Rohit Sharma bat. Just to watch. Both have long careers ahead of them and both are exceptional batters. Virat Kohli is on another level. His record in Test matches is amazing. He is brilliant in ODIs and T20s too. But if I have the option, I would love to watch Rohit Sharma bat (in white-ball cricket),” Kaif said on Sportscreen’s YouTube page.

“He has the elegance. He always has a lot of time at the crease. He never seems to be in a rush. He bats with ease. When he times the ball, it travels so fast. There are few batsmen who take you to the cleaners but you don’t get to realise that he is putting in a lot of effort,” the 39-year-old added.
Meanwhile, the likes of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli are itching to get back on the field with a complete lockdown amid the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic. With no signs of improvement, there is no clarity when cricket will resume.
