KL Rahul is slowly making a name for himself as the wicket-keeper of Team India. Since taking over the job during the series against Australia earlier this year owing to an injury to Rishabh Pant, Rahul has exceedingly well to cement his berth in the playing XI apart from his consistent show with the bat. Recently, he revealed the toughest bowler to keep to.

The cricketer from Karnataka has been a regular feature in the India Premier League guarding the stumps for his franchise; Kings XI Punjab. He has kept wickets against some of the toughest bowlers in the business. Recently, KL Rahul attended a question-answer session on micro-blogging site Twitter amid the complete lockdown due to coronavirus pandemic.

During that chat session, a fan asked Rahul who is the toughest bowler to keep to. Rahul was quick to chip in with the name of his India teammate Jasprit Bumrah. The fast bowler from Gujarat has turned out to be lethal in his short international career giving tough times to the batters across the globe.

“Absolutely enjoying wicketkeeping. The toughest bowler to keep to is @Jaspritbumrah93,” Rahul said in a ‘Q&A’ session on his Twitter handle on Sunday.

The 28-year-old KL Rahul also said that the 2016 IPL with the Royal Challengers Bangalore was a “career-defining season” for him. The Karnataka batsman emerged as one of the brightest talent knocking the ball all over the park with ease and great timing. Since then, Rahul didn’t have to look back and has been a regular feature in the Indian side.

“It’s got to be the 2016 season with RCB which was a career-defining season for me as people saw the potential in me in white-ball cricket,” said Rahul when asked about his favourite IPL moment.
