[WATCH]- England Pacer Caught Napping As Visitors Collapse In IND vs ENG 2025 3rd ODI

England pacer Jofra Archer was spotted taking a nap in the dugout during the third and final ODI against India in Ahmedabad on February 12. With England already having lost the three-match series after defeats in the first two games, they faced another tough challenge in the series finale.

India’s batters dominated the English bowling attack, posting a massive total of 356 in 50 overs. In response, England struggled at 154/5 by the 25th over. At that moment, cameras captured Archer snoozing in the dugout. The star pacer featured in the first ODI but was rested for the remaining two matches.

Archer featured in all five matches of the T20I series before the ODIs, claiming six wickets at an average of 34.33. However, his high economy rate of 10.30 significantly contributed to England’s 1-4 series defeat.

The 29-year-old delivered a more disciplined performance in the only ODI he played on the tour, registering figures of 1/39 in seven overs during England’s four-wicket loss in the first match.

England facing series whitewash after batting collapse in third ODI

England’s struggles on their white-ball tour of India continued with yet another middle-order collapse during their steep run chase in the third ODI. Chasing 357 to avoid a series whitewash, the visitors got off to a flying start at 60/0 in six overs.

However, as seen throughout the series, they faltered at a crucial juncture, slipping to 174/7 by the 30th over. With the outcome virtually sealed, England are on the verge of their fifth consecutive bilateral ODI series defeat since their disappointing 2023 World Cup campaign in India.

Their poor ODI form is a major concern ahead of the Champions Trophy, which begins in a week on February 19. Led by Jos Buttler, England find themselves in a challenging Group B alongside Australia, South Africa, and Afghanistan in the eight-team tournament.

At present, England are struggling at 175/8 in the 31st over, needing an improbable 182 runs to win.
