India’s captain, Rohit Sharma, was seen signing autographs for fans at Mumbai Airport on Saturday, February 15, as the Men in Blue departed for Dubai ahead of the 2025 Champions Trophy. The highly anticipated tournament is set to commence on February 19.
This edition marks the first time in 29 years that Pakistan will host an ICC event, though India’s matches will be played in Dubai. As the 15-member Indian squad, accompanied by the coaching staff, arrived at Mumbai Airport to board their flight, skipper Rohit took a moment to engage with fans and sign autographs.

In the prestigious tournament, India has been drawn into Group A alongside archrivals Pakistan, Bangladesh, and New Zealand. The Men in Blue will kick off their campaign against Bangladesh on February 20. They will then face Pakistan in a highly awaited showdown on Sunday, February 23.
India will conclude their group-stage fixtures with a match against New Zealand on March 2, 2025.

Rohit Sharma has featured in two editions of the Champions Trophy (2013 and 2017). In the 2013 tournament, the Mumbai batter scored 177 runs across five matches at an average of 35.40, including two half-centuries.
In the 2017 edition, he delivered an even stronger performance, amassing 304 runs in five innings at an impressive average of 76, with two fifties and a century. Overall, Rohit has played 10 matches in the Champions Trophy, accumulating 481 runs at an average of 53.44, with four half-centuries and one century.
Across his ODI career, he has represented India in 268 matches, scoring 10,988 runs at an average of 49.05, including 57 fifties and 32 centuries.
