Indian cricket veterans Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma were seen enjoying a cheerful exchange during the third ODI against England on Wednesday (February 12) at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The hosts delivered a commanding performance, securing a 142-run victory and sealing a 3-0 series whitewash.

Following a challenging phase in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, both Kohli and Sharma regained their form in the ODI series, a promising sign for India ahead of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. Sharma marked his comeback with a brilliant century in the second ODI, while Kohli contributed with a composed half-century in the series finale.

A fan posted a video on X (formerly Twitter), capturing a lighthearted moment between Rohit and Virat during the third ODI. The clip showed the two players smiling and engaged in an animated conversation, reflecting their strong camaraderie. You can watch the video here:

“You can talk to legends like Gavaskar & Dravid” – Kapil Dev to Rohit & Kohli

Former India captain Kapil Dev recently suggested that Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma seek guidance from cricketing greats like Sunil Gavaskar and Rahul Dravid following their recent challenges in Test cricket. While speaking on the Cricket Adda YouTube channel, Kapil was quoted by NDTV Sports as saying:

“When there are no runs, problems are on all sides. The best way out is to talk to cricketers, who are your ‘type’. You can talk to cricketers like Sunil Gavaskar and Rahul Dravid. Being big stars does not mean that somebody who has played less cricket than you can’t tell you how to play. The coach may not be of your level but still you listen to him. Sometimes, you can talk to outsiders.”

The 1983 World Cup-winning captain also recommended that the duo revisit their past match footage to analyze and identify the techniques that previously brought them success.

“See your old videos and analyse how you used to play. You will not get the same 20-25 year old Virat Kohli or Rohit Sharma, but if you see your old videos, you will get an idea. Cricket is a game of confidence. Age is a factor but that doesn’t mean they have forgotten to play the game. You have to adjust,” added Kapil Dev.
