Former India cricketer Wasim Jaffer shared a clip from the iconic Bollywood film ‘Karan Arjun’ ahead of the highly anticipated India-Pakistan clash in the 2025 Champions Trophy. The arch-rivals are set to face off at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Sunday, February 23.
The blockbuster film, starring Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan, tells the story of two brothers and their mother’s quest for revenge. Wasim Jaffer humorously posted a video of the song ‘Yeh Bandhan Toh’, depicting one brother as India and the other as Pakistan, while representing the mother’s character as broadcaster Star Sports.
Sharing his excitement for the big game, Jaffer wrote:
“It’s that time again.”

India began their Champions Trophy campaign with a six-wicket win over Bangladesh on February 20, while Pakistan faced a 60-run defeat to New Zealand in the tournament opener on February 19. To stay in contention, Mohammad Rizwan’s team must win against Rohit Sharma’s side. A thrilling contest awaits as the two Asian giants clash in a packed stadium.
“Don’t Fix What Isn’t Broken” – Aakash Chopra on India’s XI for IND vs PAK Clash
Former cricketer Aakash Chopra feels India should stick with the same XI for their 2025 Champions Trophy match against Pakistan. He expects Arshdeep Singh to remain on the bench as Harshit Rana impressed with a three-wicket haul against Bangladesh. Speaking on his YouTube channel, he said:
“Is there any scope for change? I feel don’t fix it if it ain’t broken. To be fair, everyone has done well. I don’t see any change in the Indian team. There was a question about whether Arshdeep Singh could play. I think that debate has also ended now. Arshdeep won’t get a chance to play.”
He further added:
“You will see Harshit Rana and (Mohammed) Shami only bowling. Another thinking could be to play Varun Chakaravarthy for Jaddu. However, why should you play him? When Jaddu played against England, he took six wickets in two matches. Will you change if he didn’t pick up a wicket in one match?”
