Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) star Virat Kohli showcased a heartwarming gesture by autographing a young fan’s poster after a practice session. Currently in Kolkata with the RCB squad, Kohli is gearing up for the IPL 2025 opener against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at Eden Gardens on Saturday, March 22.

A video shared by a user on X (formerly Twitter) captured this touching moment, offering fans a glimpse of Kohli’s off-field kindness. In the clip, the young fan eagerly asks for an autograph, and Kohli, after asking him to wait, directs the security staff to retrieve the poster before signing it inside the team bus.

Aakash Chopra Backs Virat Kohli as RCB’s Top Run-Scorer for IPL 2025

Former cricketer Aakash Chopra recently predicted that Virat Kohli would be RCB‘s highest run-scorer and Josh Hazlewood their leading wicket-taker in IPL 2025. Speaking on his YouTube channel ‘Aakash Chopra’, he shared his insights ahead of the tournament.

“Who will score the most runs? I think Virat Kohli one more time. He is the guy who makes the most runs for this team. Who will pick up the most wickets? If Josh Hazlewood plays all the matches, then Josh Hazlewood. That’s what I am thinking.”

Chopra also observed that RCB has built a well-rounded batting lineup this season and is no longer overly reliant on the top three, as in previous years. While assessing Royal Challengers’ batting strength, he stated:

“They have once again assembled a good batting lineup if you consider pedigree and explosive ability. They didn’t use to have too much difficulty in batting and won’t have it now either.”

“However, it’s not that everything is in the top three. We have seen many times that there is a lot in the top three and nothing after that. It has been their problem repeatedly but it doesn’t seem to be the case this time. They have intentionally tried to have a little bit of depth.”
