Cricket fans were keenly looking forward to Rana’s performance against his former franchise. But unfortunately, things took a turn for the worse for the southpaw. The left-hander managed to score only eight runs before Moeen Ali produced an absolute beauty to dismiss him. On the last ball of the 11th over, Rana made room early and attempted to play a defensive shot. Moeen, seeing this movement, cleverly adjusted his length, making the ball turn away just enough to beat Rana’s bat and crash into the stumps.

As Rana walked back to the dugout, disappointment was written all over his face. Rajasthan Royals’ innings was highlighted by Dhruv Jurel, who top-scored with 33 off 28 balls, followed by Yashasvi Jaiswal’s 29 off 24 and stand-in skipper Riyan Parag’s quickfire 25 off 15. Despite these promising starts, none of the batters managed to convert their efforts into a substantial score, resulting in regular wickets and a modest total.
