The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has revealed the much-anticipated schedule for the India senior men’s home series for the 2025-26 season, set to begin in October 2025. India will host West Indies and South Africa in a series that not only holds significance for players and teams but also brings historic moments for venues like Guwahati, set to host its first-ever Test match.
India vs West Indies: IDFC First Bank Test Series
The home season kicks off with the IDFC First Bank Test series against the West Indies. The first Test match will be held in Ahmedabad on 2nd October 2025, followed by the second and final Test in Kolkata starting from 10th October. This series offers India a chance to showcase its dominance at home while West Indies, known for their unpredictable style, aim to challenge the hosts in challenging conditions.
India vs South Africa: A Historic Test Series
India will then gear up for a historic Test series against South Africa, with the opening Test in New Delhi on 14th November 2025. The second Test, set to be a landmark occasion, will be held in Guwahati from 22nd November.
This marks the first-ever International Test match in Assam, a monumental moment for cricket in the North-East. The announcement of Guwahati’s maiden Test match has created a wave of excitement. This opportunity is expected to boost cricketing culture in Assam and the entire North-East region.
Complete Schedule for 2025-26 Home Season
