[WATCH]- Sanju Samson Shows Frustration, Tosses Bat After Untimely Dismissal In PBKS vs RR Clash

Rajasthan Royals (RR) skipper Sanju Samson was visibly frustrated after his dismissal during the IPL 2025 match against Punjab Kings (PBKS) in Chandigarh on April 5. With RR cruising at 89/0, Samson lost his wicket against the run of play, scoring 38 off 26 balls with six boundaries. He threw his bat in the air in disappointment as he walked back.

The dismissal came in the 11th over when Lockie Ferguson bowled a 144.2 kmph fuller delivery on off-stump. Samson attempted to loft it over the infield but mistimed it, handing a simple catch to PBKS captain Shreyas Iyer at mid-off. You can watch the video here:

The dismissal gave Lockie Ferguson his first wicket of the IPL 2025 season, after going wicketless in his previous match against the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG).

Sanju Samson and Yashasvi Jaiswal gave RR a strong start against PBKS in the IPL 2025 match

Sanju Samson and Yashasvi Jaiswal delivered a fiery start for Rajasthan Royals against Punjab Kings in the IPL 2025 clash on Saturday. The pair put together a solid 89-run stand off just 68 balls, putting the Punjab bowlers under pressure early on. Jaiswal stood out with a brisk 67 off 45 balls at a strike rate of 148.88, smashing five sixes and three fours, while Samson added 38 runs.

At the time of writing, RR were 123/2 after 13.2 overs, with Riyan Parag and Nitish Rana at the crease. Lockie Ferguson has been the standout bowler for Punjab so far, picking up two wickets.

Shreyas Iyer’s Punjab side entered the game with back-to-back wins over Gujarat Titans (GT) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG). Meanwhile, RR came off a thrilling six-run victory against Chennai Super Kings (CSK). Both teams are aiming to maintain their winning streak.
