Arshdeep Singh and Yashasvi Jaiswal appeared in a light-hearted video following the IPL 2025 match between Punjab Kings (PBKS) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) held on Sunday, May 18, at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur. The two faced off early in the second innings, with Jaiswal taking on Arshdeep in the opening over.

The contest between the Indian internationals was heavily tilted in Jaiswal’s favor, as he hammered 22 runs off the over, including four boundaries and a six. Arshdeep struggled to bounce back from the tough start and ended up conceding 60 runs in his four-over spell.

Post-match, Arshdeep Singh took to his official Instagram account to share a humorous video featuring himself and Yashasvi Jaiswal. In the clip, the pacer poked fun at his own costly outing, playfully acknowledging how Jaiswal went after him in the very first over.

“Bahut maara be dhaaga hi khol diya.” (You hit soo much)

Jaiswal then replied:

“Meine bola tha isko ek din isko boht maarunga.” (I told him I would hit him so much one day)

PBKS posted a strong total of 219/5, thanks to key contributions from Nehal Wadhera (70), Shashank Singh (59*), and others. RR began well with a quick 76-run opening stand between Yashasvi Jaiswal (50) and Vaibhav Suryavanshi (40), but Harpreet Brar turned the game around by taking 3 wickets for 22 runs in his four overs. His impactful spell earned him the Player of the Match award.
