Young opener Yashasvi Jaiswal is on the verge of a significant transition in his domestic cricket career. Reports suggest that Jaiswal is set to leave Mumbai and represent Goa in the upcoming domestic season. As per ‘The Indian Express’, he sent an email to the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) on April 1, requesting a No Objection Certificate (NOC) to make the switch.

Notably, Goa has recently been promoted to the Elite Division of the Ranji Trophy. In the past, players like Arjun Tendulkar and Siddhesh Lad have also moved from Mumbai to Goa. Jaiswal was featured for Mumbai last season, playing in the Ranji Trophy clash against Jammu & Kashmir, where he registered scores of 4 and 26.

“He has sought a NOC from us and has cited that the reason for his move to Goa as personal,” an official from MCA was quoted as saying.

Jaiswal was included in Mumbai’s squad for the Ranji Trophy semi-final against Vidarbha but had to withdraw due to an ankle injury. He made his first-class debut for Mumbai in 2019.
