MPL 2025: [WATCH] Wicketkeeper Hits Both The Stumps With One Throw; Video Goes Viral

A bizarre and funny moment took place during a Maharashtra Premier League 2025 clash between Raigad Royals and Puneri Bappa on Saturday, June 7, at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune. While Raigad Royals were batting, opener Harsh Mogaveera was run out in a strange way when the ball struck the stumps at both ends.

The wicketkeeper chased the ball down, picked it up cleanly, and aimed accurately to hit the stumps at the striker’s end. Though the striker was safely inside the crease, the ball didn’t stop there. Instead, it deflected off the stumps and rolled toward the non-striker’s end, where it went on to hit the stumps again, dismissing Mogaveera in a freak dismissal.

Puneri Bappa Crush Raigad Royals In Dominant MPL 2025 Victory

Puneri Bappa set a commanding total of 202/4 in their 20 overs after opting to bat first in the Maharashtra Premier League (MPL) 2025. Yash Nahar led the charge with a knock of 82, supported by Rushikesh Sonawane’s 58, while Suraj Shinde provided a late flourish with an unbeaten 40 off just 12 balls.

In response, Raigad Royals suffered an early setback with a bizarre run-out in the opening over, which sparked a batting collapse. They continued to lose wickets in quick succession and never looked in control of the chase. Their innings folded for a mere 103 runs in 13.1 overs, falling well short of the target and not even lasting the full 20 overs.

Nikit Dhumal was the standout performer with the ball, claiming an impressive five-wicket haul, finishing with figures of 5/39 in his four overs, as Puneri Bappa sealed a comprehensive 99-run victory. With this win, their second in as many matches, Puneri Bappa now have four points and occupy the second spot on the MPL 2025 points table.
