Chennai Super Kings skipper MS Dhoni will return to action almost over a year and a lot of speculations are going around with his form. He will be in action during the 13th edition of IPL in the UAE from September 19. As speculations continue to rife, CSK CEO Kasi Viswanathan asserted that Dhoni is striking the ball well and looked in rhythm.
Incidentally, the legendary cricketer last played during the World Cup in England in 2019. Since then, he has been on sabbatical and his retirement speculations continued to rife. Finally, MS Dhoni put all debates to rest hanging his boots on the occasion of the 74th Independence Day.

Meanwhile, he had returned to training during March for IPL 2020. However, went home after the Government of India declared lockdown due to COVID-19. Dhoni had a two-day session at the Jharkhand State Cricket Association before joining the side in Chennai.
The 39-year-old was a part of the five-camp at the MA Chidambaram Stadium. During the training, MS Dhoni looked completely in rhythm and was striking the ball well, confirmed CSK CEO, Kasi Viswanathan.
“Dhoni is striking the ball very well. And there were plenty of sixes in all directions. Dhoni was his usual self, relaxed, confident and happy,” Viswanathan told Sportstar.
“The boys had not trained for a long time and this was good for them. Coming after a break, they did not stretch themselves fully. That could have led to injuries. But the cricketers gradually found their rhythm,” the CSK CEO added.
Meanwhile, MS Dhoni along with entire Chennai Super Kings squad has landed in the UAE to play IPL 2020. The Super Kings will be desperate to go all the way time after losing to Mumbai Indians in the finals last year.
The 13th edition of IPL will start from September 19 and will run until November 10. This is the first time in history that an IPL final will take place o a weekday.
