Shane Watson has undoubtedly been one of the most impactful all-rounders in T20 cricket. Watson from the very first year of the IPL impressed everyone with his contributions for his side. Since becoming the part of Chennai Super Kings (CSK), the all-rounder has played several memorable knocks. He scored a majestic hundred in the 2018 IPL final and helped CSK lift their third title.
Ahead of the upcoming IPL season, the 39-year-old was all praises for the well structured CSK setup. The all-rounder recently in a video message on the franchise official account stated that he has thoroughly enjoyed his stint with the CSK.
Watson reveals his favourite memory with CSK
“I have been very fortunate to play for CSK for the past few years. I really enjoyed my time at the Rajasthan Royals. It was an incredible experience to play under Shane Warne and play in Jaipur, it is a beautiful cricket ground, and the wicket is amazing”, said Watson.
Shane Watson also lauded the leadership roles that both captain MS Dhoni and coach Stephen Fleming play throughout the IPL. Watson also went on to reveal his favourite memory with the CSK franchise in which Dwayne Bravo played an instrumental role.

“My favourite moment with CSK was the game against Mumbai Indians in Mumbai in IPL 2018. DJ Bravo batted like a genius. He got us out of trouble and won us after the game. I remember after the game MS Dhoni and Michael Hussey said that this is what we do at CSK”, said Watson.
Meanwhile, Shane Watson will be again representing CSK in the upcoming IPL season in the UAE. Watson has already joined the entire CSK team in Dubai and undergoing the mandatory quarantine period before the commencement of the league. IPL 2020 will be held between September 19- November 10 in a bio-secure bubble in the UAE.
