Team India’s senior batter Virat Kohli entertained the crowd with a funny celebration after the dismissal of South African opener Quinton de Kock in Raipur during the second ODI on Wednesday, December 3. The left-hander was sent back to the pavilion in the fifth over of South Africa’s chase.
De Kock tried to play an aerial shot on the leg side against left-arm pacer Arshdeep Singh, but mistimed it and ended up giving a leading edge. Washington Sundar comfortably completed the catch at mid-on. Following the wicket, Virat Kohli delighted fans by performing a playful dance and finishing it with the popular ‘Baba Ji Ka Thullu’ gesture.

Quinton De Kock’s poor run with the bat persisted in the ongoing series. The experienced wicketkeeper-batter managed only eight runs from 11 deliveries in the second ODI. He had earlier come in at No. 3 in the opening match, where he was dismissed for a two-ball duck.
The early breakthrough put the Proteas on the back foot, especially with a challenging target of 359 runs to chase in Raipur to stay alive in the three-match series.
Virat Kohli slams a remarkable century to dominate the 2nd ODI in Raipur
Virat Kohli has displayed his classic form throughout the ongoing ODI series. He began the contest with an outstanding 135 off 120 balls and continued his dominance with another brilliant innings in Raipur. The star batter registered his 53rd ODI century, making 102 runs from 93 deliveries, which included two boundaries and seven sixes.
Ruturaj Gaikwad also reached the three-figure mark, hitting his maiden ODI hundred. He emerged as the highest scorer with 105 runs from 83 balls. Acting captain KL Rahul contributed significantly as well, scoring an unbeaten 66 from just 43 balls. Powered by these strong batting efforts, India posted a total of 358/5 in their 50 overs.
For South Africa, Marco Jansen picked up two wickets, while Lungi Ngidi and Nandre Burger claimed one each. A win in this fixture would hand India a commanding 2–0 lead in the series.
