UP Warriorz imposed their authority once again in the Women’s Premier League 2026 by winning their fourth consecutive match, and that too in style.
They had a flattering win over the Mumbai Indians, and the margin of victory was 22 runs at the Dr. DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai on Saturday. It was a reservoir of runs for UP Warriorz, so Mumbai bowlers’ decision to bowl first turned out to be a mistake!
UP Warriorz posted a mammoth score of 187 in their batting inning. Their vigorous batting created a burden of runs on Mumbai that the latter could not manage to clear.
Thus, the Mumbai Indians fell short of the target and handed their opponents a double victory. The outcome of this match allows UP Warriorz to display more of their strengths at this early stage of the tournament.

UP Warriorz did not stop at WPL 2026, as they came up with their second victory in a row by overpowering Mumbai Indians by 22 runs at Dr. DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai on Saturday.
UP’s batting order faced an early loss but still managed to build a huge total of 187 for eight. Kiran Navgire, the opening batswoman, was out without scoring any runs, but Meg Lanning (70 off 45 balls, 11×4, 2×6) and Phoebe Litchfield (61 off 37 balls, 7×4, 3×6) made a match-turning 119-run second-wicket partnership that stabilized the innings.
Amelia Kerr was the main wicket-taker for Mumbai with three wickets, while Harleen Deol (25 off 16 balls, 2×4, 1×6) and Chloe Tryon (21 off 13 balls, 1×4, 1×6) were proving to be very influential by providing the needed firepower to UP’s total.
Opposition was serious in their chase, but they lost three wickets and found themselves at 44 runs on board. Hayley Matthews, Sajeevan Sajana, and Nat Sciver-Brunt were the first to go. Even after Amelia Kerr (49* off 32 balls, 6×4, 1×6) and Amanjot Kaur had an 83-run partnership, Kaur’s dismissal in the penultimate over sealed the fate of the match. Mumbai had to settle for a total score of 165 runs losing 6 wickets.
