Team India batting stalwart Virat Kohli, along with his wife Anushka Sharma, recently held a religious ceremony at their London home. A photo from the occasion has since gone viral on social media, showing the couple posing with a family friend or relative, dressed in traditional attire.

The ex-India skipper has frequently been seen attending religious events in recent times and often visits Indian spiritual leader Premanand Maharaj with his family during trips back home. He recently featured for the Men in Blue in the three-match ODI series against New Zealand, which India lost 2–1 on home soil.

The Delhi-born batter is set to turn out for Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in the 2026 Indian Premier League, which kicks off on March 26. His next appearance for India, however, is expected only in July, when the team tours England for a three-match ODI series.

Daryl Mitchell Surpasses Virat Kohli To Claim No.1 ODI Spot

Meanwhile, the 37-year-old Virat Kohli lost his No.1 ODI batting ranking to New Zealand veteran Daryl Mitchell following the conclusion of the three-match series against the Kiwis. Kohli had briefly reclaimed the top spot from fellow Indian Rohit Sharma midway through the series, but Mitchell’s stellar performance ensured he regained the summit.

The elegant right-hander scored 352 runs across three innings, including two centuries, as New Zealand secured a historic ODI series victory on Indian soil despite dropping the opening match. After losing the first ODI in Vadodara by 48 runs, the visitors bounced back in Rajkot, chasing down 285 with Mitchell smashing an unbeaten 131 to level the series.

Mitchell then continued his fine form with 137 in the final ODI in Indore, helping New Zealand overcome India’s star batsman and clinch the series. However, the Kiwis now face a crucial challenge in the ongoing five-match T20I series, trailing 2-0 and needing a win on Sunday to remain in contention.
