The IPL is without a shadow of a doubt the most prominent T20 league in the world. Every budding cricketer in India now aspires to play in the IPL and share the dressing room with the best players in the world. Kamran Khan was one such player whose dream came true when he joined the Rajasthan Royal in the 2009 IPL edition.

The exciting left-arm seamer was highly spoken about by none other than Shane Warne. The legendary Aussie cricketer even nicknamed his as ‘Tornado’ because he bowled with express pace. Even though Rajasthan Royals had a disappointing season but Kamran stood out and it seemed that India has found a talented bowler for the future.

Kamran Khan Was Once Part Of The Rajasthan Royals 

It all began for Kamran when Rajasthan Royals coaching director Darren Berry spotted him when he was searching for fresh talents for the franchise in Mumbai. Interestingly, Kamran had no experience of playing any competitive cricket and just used to practice bowling for fun with the Tennis ball.

His father used to cut wood in the forest for a living but Kamran Khan was destined to do something special. Darren Berry was immediately impressed with what he saw of Kamran and immediately made him the part of the defending champions back then the Rajasthan Royals franchise.

Meanwhile, Kamran instantly made the headlines when he bowled on the bouncy pitches of South African. The teenager wasn’t intimated to bowl at great batsmen but thrived under pressure and made a name for himself.

Unfortunately, Kamran Khan wasn’t unable to continue his progress and left cricket only at the age of 23. He only played 11 matches for Uttar Pradesh in first-class cricket but due to his average performances couldn’t get more additional opportunities.

The former IPL cricketer is now in his home state where he does farming and earns for his loved ones and also takes part in some local cricket tournaments.
