Ab de Villiers solidly believes RCB can win 3 matches on the bounce and lift their maiden IPL trophy. After losing to Delhi Capitals, RCB somehow managed to qualify for the IPL 2020 based on their higher net run rate. Virat Kohli’s side has now lost 4 consecutive matches and will now take on a strong Sunrisers Hyderabad side.
In a repeat of the 2016 finals, SRH will lock horns against RCB in the all-important eliminator on Friday. Even after losing winning momentum De Villiers looks confident about RCB’s chances and holds that they still can with the IPL 2020 title.
RCB Can Win Their First IPL Title- Ab de Villiers
The legendary batsman pointed out that RCB needs to stick to the basics and with few teaks be ready for the big matches. After 3 years RCB has entered the IPL playoffs after they secured 7 wins in their 14 league matches. De Villiers is positive about RCB turning things around and going all the way this season in the IPL.
“Now, after four consecutive defeats, can we regain our winning momentum. Can we win the three matches that stand between us and a first IPL title? Yes, we can”, the legendary South African batsman wrote for his column for the Hindustan Times.
“In a tournament like the IPL, where any team can beat any team on any given day, the margins between winning and losing are often perilously thin. When things go wrong, the temptation can be to make wholesale changes; in most cases, it is better to stick to the same basic plan and maybe make a few tweaks”, he added.
Bring Joy To RCB Supporters All Around The World
Meanwhile, De Villiers as a batsman has been in sensational form in IPL 2020. He has single-handedly helped RCB win matches some wondrous situation and will again be a crucial player for them in the playoffs. The star batsman also wants all the RCB players to bring happiness and joy to every RCB supporter with their performances in these trying times of COVID-19 pandemic.
