The 13th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) has been an epitome of fielding with cricketers getting better with each passing day. Delhi Capitals cricketer Kagiso Rabada took a brilliant diving catch to dismiss Kieron Pollard to put his side on top against Mumbai Indians in the first Qualifier.
Put to bat first, Mumbai Indians lost their skipper for a golden duck thanks to a brilliant move by Shreyas Iyer to bring Ravichandran Ashwin against Rohit Sharma. Since then, Quinton de Kock and Suryakumar Yadav shared a brilliant partnership to steer the innings.
Suryakumar was once again fluent to bring another half-century but Ashwin was once again put brakes before Anrich Nortje removed the dangerous looking Suryakumar to have Mumbai Indians at 100 for three. The wicket brought Kieron Pollard on the wicket, who has been in fine form. But a perfect catch from Kagiso Rabada helped Delhi nullify his exploits without disturbing the scorecard.
Kagiso Rabada takes a fine catch
Ravichandran Ashwin tossed it up from round the wicket as Kieron Pollard tried mowing this one in signature fashion over long-on. But to everyone’s surprise, I suspect, he has not made good enough contact. Kagiso Rabada ran forward from long-on and dived forward to hold onto a terrific catch to get rid of the imperious Kieron Pollard.
