Aussie Pacer revealed that they will look to tire Indian spearhead Jasprit Bumrah when they go face to face in the test series. When we talk about India vs Australia, one thing that will surely strike our minds is the mind games the Australians play prior to a series as this time it’s Josh Hazlewood who has spoken about Australia’s tactics to tire down Jasprit Bumrah in the series.
The Indian team is all set to play four tests in Australia later this year, the series is said to be a firecracker as Australians will look to avenge the Indians after having previously lost the test series in their own backyard in 2018.
When India toured Australia in 2018, Jasprit Bumrah arose as the joint-most elevated wicket-taker with Australian spinner Nathon Lyon in the Test series. In eight innings, the seamer had taken 21 scalps including one five-wicket hall.

We Will Try To Tire Jasprit Bumrah Out In The First Two Tests – Josh Hazlewood
Speaking to India Today, Josh Hazlewood started off by praising Jasprit Bumrah for the way he maintains his speed throughout a test series. Followed by which he revealed how Australia would look to tackle Jasprit Bumrah during which he said they would look to tire him out in the first two tests and then capitalise on the remaining two tests.
“Bumrah is probably the standout. He is unique with his action. He maintains pace very well throughout the day, and the whole series. He is probably the key. He can take wickets up front or with the old ball. I guess it’s about getting lot of overs into him, try to tire him out in the first couple of games. That will be the key,” Hazlewood said as quoted by India Today.
Josh Hazlewood further added how the inclusion of Ishant Sharma will go on to strengthen the Indian pace attack as the last time they toured Australia, they returned back home as the winners of the test series. Josh opined that Indian pacers typically have improved in the last 10-15 years.
“They out-bowled us the last time they came. That went a long way for them in winning the series. They have most bases covered with their quicks. If Ishant Sharma gets here at some point it will add to their strength. They are all a little bit different. For the last 10-15 years, Indian pacers have kept improving. Our batters will have to be on their toes to counter that.” Josh added.
