Ravichandran Ashwin has held the plane ride to Sydney as ‘turbulent and scary’. The Indian team have finally shifted their base from Melbourne to Sydney ahead of the 3rd Test. In the last few days, the Australian media and cricket board have begun their mind games.
After 5 Indian cricketers ate food inside a restaurant without masks, Cricket Australia sent them to isolation. The likes of Rohit Sharma, Shubman Gill, Rishabh Pant, Navdeep Saini and Prithvi Shaw were in isolation even after BCCI had declared that no Indian player has breached the bio-bubble protocols.

Coming back to Ashwin his remarks came after all members of the Indian cricket team, including the isolated five, and support staff have tested negative for coronavirus after undergoing an RT-PCR test on Sunday. All the 5 players are now expected to be available for the third Test at Sydney that begins from January 7.
“Playing members of the Indian Cricket Team and support staff underwent an RT-PCR Test for COVID-19 on January 3, 2021. All tests have returned negative results”, the BCCI said.
Meanwhile, Ashwin never shies away from saying anything on Twitter and this time he probably took an indirect dig at the rules in Australia. The hosts are trying to get under the skins of team India players after they lost the MCG Test comprehensively within 4 days. Ashwin on his official Twitter account described the journey to Sydney as scary which has asserted that even the team members are unhappy.
“Yours Turbulently Melbourne to Sydney!” #Ouch #Scary”, Ravichandran Ashwin Tweeted.

Furthermore, a source close to the Indian team has asserted that the team has now shut the outside noise and are only focused on the third Test match.
“The boys have shut the outside world and they are not even looking at who is saying what. We are backing our belief that no protocol was broken and that is that. We are now looking at the third Test and the focus is on the next game at the SCG. We want to make it 2-1 by the time we leave the SCG at the end of the Test match,” the source told ANI.
