IPL franchise Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) have roped in New Zealand wicket-keeper batsman Finn Allen as a replacement for Josh Philippe who will be unavailable for the entire season. Phillipe played five games for the franchise last season and scored 78 runs. His replacement Finn, has featured in 12 first-class games for New Zealand and scored three half-centuries.
This season things are expected to be different as RCB is looking a much more balanced side that can go all the way and win that elusive IPL trophy. As far as their schedule is concerned they will be playing their matches in Chennai, Mumbai, Ahmedabad and Kolkata.

Royal Challengers Bangalore Announce Replacement For Josh Philippe
Meanwhile, Royal Challengers Bangalore has made an official announcement of signing Finn for the upcoming season. “Royal Challengers Bangalore have signed up New Zealand wicketkeeper-batsman Finn Allen as replacement for Josh Philippe who will be unavailable for the entire season,” an official statement from IPL read.
Meanwhile, none of the eight franchises will enjoy home advantage this season. They will be playing at other venues except for their own home ground. The BCCI announced the IPL 2021 schedule last Sunday. The season starts from April 9 and the final will be played at the Narendra Modi Stadium on May 30. It will host the playoffs as well. Each team is set to play at four venues during the league stage. Out of the 56 league matches, Chennai, Mumbai, Kolkata and Bengaluru will host 10 matches each while Ahmedabad and Delhi will host 8 matches each. All teams will play at four out of six venues during the league stage.

Royal Challengers Bangalore, despite losing their last few matches on the trot last season made it to the playoffs. They played against Sunrisers Hyderabad in the Eliminator and lost the game to bow out of the tournament.
The franchise had its best season in 2016, where it made to the finals of the tournament with skipper Virat Kohli scoring 973 runs, the most by any player in a single season of the IPL.
