James Neesham executed a brilliant run-out to end the promising innings of Tamim Iqbal in the second ODI. Tamim was batting brilliantly on 78 runs when his batting partner Mushfiqur Rahim called him through for a quick single. Rahim after defending a rising delivery from James Neesham called Tamim for a quick single which proved to be costly for Bangladesh.

Neesham sensed an opportunity to run-out Tamim and went to the ball in a flash and showcased his footballing skills to end the innings of Tamim Iqbal. Neesham side kicked the ball and it struck the stumps as Tamim was found short of his crease. As soon as the ball hit the stumps entire New Zealand celebrated the wicket as they got rid of a well-set Tamim Iqbal.

Apart from that, it wasn’t a successful day for Neesham with the ball as he turned out to be the most successful bowler for New Zealand in the second ODI. In his 9 overs, Neesham gave away 73 runs and went wicketless as the Bangladesh batsmen smashed him towards the end overs. After the conclusion of their 50 overs, Bangladesh posted a competitive total of 271 runs for the loss of 6 wickets.
Nevertheless, the New Zealand batsmen paced their chase to perfection and won the match with 10 balls to spare. James Neesham scored a quickfire 30 runs but the star of the day was the stand-in New Zealand captain Tom Latham.
