Umesh Yadav was not a part of the Delhi capitals playing XI in their season opener against Chennai Super Kings. Delhi made a winning start by beating the MS Dhoni-led side in the IPL. Umesh was roped in from RCB by the Capitals for his base price of 1 crore. He is a part of a well-rounded Delhi pace attack along with the likes of Kagiso Rabada, Anrich Nortje, and Ishant Sharma.
Meanwhile, Umesh Yadav grabbed a stunner at the Delhi Capitals practice session. He played just two matches for Banglore last season. Capitals’ next clash is against the Rajasthan Royals on the 15th of April in Mumbai and Umesh might be a part of the team,
Meanwhile, the video of Umesh’s catch was shared on the Delhi Capitals Twitter handle. Umesh dismissed Ajinkya Rahane who took his return catch in the practice session. Rahane only managed to get a leading edge and the veteran seamer leapt to his left, plucking the ball with one hand.
Delhi Capitals’ assistant coach Pravin Amre, who was standing at the umpire’s position also clapped at Umesh’s effort.

Umesh Yadav has played for three teams in the IPL. Having started with Delhi Daredevils, he played for Kolkata Knight Riders between 2014-2018. He then played for RCB between 2018-2020. The Vidharba pacer featured in two matches and ended wicketless, conceding runs at 11.86 runs per over for Banglore.
