KL Rahul loves batting against his old franchise RCB and he is doing that again in IPL 2021. The Punjab Kings skipper has batted at his own pace and scored a brilliant half-century. He has played some of his vintage strokes and causing some headache for captain Kohli and Royal Challengers Bangalore.
KL Rahul again leads from the front for Punjab Kings
Thus far Rahul has taken calculative risks and picked his spots for playing a big shot. In the batting power play Rahul was playing at a run a ball when Gayle decided to up the scoring rate.
In the 6th over he struck 5 boundaries in one over of Jameison which is when Rahul decided to join the party. He then dominated Yuzvendra Chahal and hit him out of the bowling attack.
Even after starting slow Rahul managed to score a 50 in 35 deliveries and gave the batting some impetus. Unfortunately for Punjab Kings at the other end, Gayle got out on 48.
Now, Rahul is once again playing as an anchor and trying to bat through the PBKS innings. He is currently 56 not out in 42 balls with 4 sixes and 3 boundaries. Punjab Kings is currently 126 for 5 after 17 overs with Rahul holding the key for his team.
