Chennai Super Kings (CSK) skipper MS Dhoni has begun preparations for the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League. Meanwhile, the BCCI has already announced the full schedule of IPL 2022 and CSK will lock horns with Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the tournament opener.
Dhoni along with a few other cricketers landed in Surat on March 2 and underwent mandatory isolation before commencing their training on Sunday. The 40-year-old hasn’t had any game time since he led CSK to the illustrious title in IPL 2021 in Dubai.
A couple of days into training, MS Dhoni was spotted hitting the ball from the middle of the bat. In a video that went viral on social media, the former Indian captain was seen hitting a one-handed six in the nets.

Meanwhile, IPL 2022 is expected to be the last season for MS Dhoni, who called time on his international career two years back. CSK will hope the celebrated cricketer steps down winning the trophy for the fifth time.
Speaking of personal performance, Dhoni didn’t had a bright time with the bat in the last season and also his wicket-keeping has taken a beating due to the growing age. However, his technical acumen and presence of mind was spot on that guided CSK to the title.
