Watch- David Warner Breaks Into ‘Bhangra’ During Rawalpindi Test

David Warner and entertainment go hand-in-hand. In recent years, the Australian opener has developed a special bond with the fans. Warner does everything he can to keep the audience engaged, both on and off the field. Another example of this was seen at Rawalpindi on Tuesday.

Australia are currently on the historic tour of Pakistan where they have to play 3 Tests, 3 ODIs and 1 T20I. On day 5 of the first Test, Warner was spotted showing some dance moves on the ground.

In the video posted by PCB on Twitter, David Warner can be seen performing Bhangra (traditional folk dance of Punjab) steps for the crowd.

Rawalpindi pitch at the risk of being rated ‘Poor’

Only 14 wickets fell during the 5 days of the drawn test match between Pakistan and Australia at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. The pitch has received a lot of criticism from the cricket experts, for being slow and lifeless. Even for the fans, watching this historic match end in a draw was a disappointment.

The pitch had no help for the bowlers which led to former Pakistan pacer Mohammad Amir comment that: “Is pitch pe to bowlers ko ghar chale jana chaye batman’s ek doosre k sath khail lein. #PakVsAustraila (Bowlers should go home given the nature of this pitch and batsman should play among themselves).”

Ace Aussie batter Steve Smith, who was a part of the match, called the surface ‘dead’ and ‘benign’. It remains to be seen how the match referee Ranjan Madugalle rates the pitch.

Rawalpindi would receive three demerit points if Ranjan gives the pitch a poor rating. If a venue receives five demerit points over the course of 5 years, it is banned from hosting international cricket for 12 months, according to ICC Guidelines.
