Mumbai Indians skipper Rohit Sharma and pacer Jasprit Bumrah joined the team’s bio-bubble ahead of the Indian Premier League 2022 season. The duo arrived just hours after a dominating 2-0 test series win against Sri Lanka on Monday.
The Mumbai Indians posted a video on their social media platform, announcing Rohit Sharma and Jasprit Bumrah’s arrival. Rohit Sharma was accompanied by his daughter Samaira and his wife Ritika Sajdeh.
Most of the Mumbai Indians players have already joined the bio-bubble ahead of the IPL 2022 season. They will be staying at the Trident BKC, in Mumbai for the tournament.

Rohit Sharma was retained by the Mumbai Indians for 16 crores during the pre-IPL auctions retention cycle. The right-hander has led Mumbai Indians to five IPL trophy championships over the years.
Pacer, Jasprit Bumrah too is an integral part of the Mumbai Indians franchise. He is the second-highest wicket-taker for the franchise in the Indian Premier League. Bumrah has 130 wickets to his name in 106 IPL matches.
Along with Rohit and Bumrah, the Mumbai retained Suryakumar Yadav and Kieron Pollard.
Mumbai Indians to begin IPL 2022 campaign against Delhi Capitals
Mumbai will begin their IPL 2022 on March 27 against Delhi Capitals at the Brabourne CCI Stadium in Mumbai in a day game. They are in Group A with Kolkata Knight Riders, Rajasthan Royals, Delhi Capitals, and Lucknow Super Giants.
The five-time IPL Champions will play two matches each against these four teams. They will also play Chennai Super Kings twice this season.
Rohit Sharma & Co will play one match each against the remaining teams – Sunrisers Hyderabad, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Punjab Kings, and Gujarat Titans. The IPL giants will be keen to add one more IPL title to their kitty this year.
