Jemimah Rodrigues and Harmanpreet Kaur make significant gains in the latest ICC Women”s T20I Player Rankings

After a successful ICC Women’s World T20 tournament, there was some good news for Indian batters as, Smriti Mandhan, captain Harmanpreet Kaur and Jemimah Rodrigues rise in batters rankings in the latest rankings announced today.

New Zealand Suzie Bates occupies the top position despite, the Kiwis team being knocked in the round robin match. West Indies Stephine Taylor remains at number 2 spot decent performances with the bat during the recently concluded ICC Women’s World T20 played in West Indies.

Indian T20I captain rose to her best ever rankings of number 3. She led from the front scoring 183 runs from 5 matches with the best score of 103 in the first match against New Zealand. Australian winning captain Meg Lanning remains at number 4 position who played some decent knocks during the recently concluded ICC Women’s World T20.

West Indies hard-hitting all-rounder Deandra Dottin remains at number 5 position. She performed decently for the hosts. She scored 121 runs from 5 matches with the best score of 49 runs.

The young Jemimah Rodrigues showed her skills climbed up 9 places up to her career-best rankings of number 6. She scored 125 runs from 5 matches with the best score of 59 in the first match against New Zealand.

Australia’s left-handed batter Beth Mooney slipped down 3 places down to number 7th. She scored 127 runs from 6 matches with the best score of 48.

Alyssa Healy who was the leading runs scorer in the ICC Women’s World T20 rose to number 8th in better rankings. She made 283 runs from 6 matches ( 5 innings) and helped Australia win the title with power hitting at the top.

Mithali Raj who did not play the semi-finals against England slips 2 places down to 9th position. She played only 3 matches and scored 107 runs with the best score of 56.

The stylish left-handed batter Smriti Mandhana jumped 7 places up to number 10th in the rankings. She scored 178 runs from 5 matches (5 innings) with the best score of 83.

In the bowler’s rankings, Poonam Yadav is the only bowler included in the bowler”s rankings.
