Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah wreaked havoc with his shrewd bowling in the first ODI against England at the Kennington Oval on Tuesday, July 12. He made life difficult for the England batters in the first innings of the match. Bumrah broke the back of the English batting attacking and He left the experts and fans impressed. Former India cricketer Wasim Jaffer shared a funny meme to describe Jasprit Bumrah’s bowling performance.
The Indian bowler took four wickets for nine in his five overs at an economy rate of 1.8. Wasim Jaffer took to social media to laud Jasprit Bumrah’s performance. Posting an image of the pace bowler, Wasim Jaffer also took a dig at the England batters. He wrote on his Twitter handle,

England was eventually bowled out for 110 runs in around 25 overs. Bumrah finished the innings with six wickets at an economy rate of 2.6. Pacer Mohammed Shami and Prasidh Krishna took three and a wicket each in the innings for India. Meanwhile, England skipper Jos Buttler was the leading run-scorer for the hosts with thirty runs. India needs 111 runs to go one up in the three-match ODI series.
Jasprit Bumrah runs through England’s batting attack
Jasprit Bumrah took the charge with the new ball for India in the match, after winning the toss and opting to bowl first. In the second over of the innings, he sent opener Jason Roy and Joe Root back into the pavilion. Roy got bowled against a full wide delivery which came back in slightly. The next two wickets of Joe Root and Jonny Bairstow fell against outside-off deliveries, which flew to wicket-keeper Rishabh Pant.
Liam Livingstone was Jasprit Bumrah’s fourth wicket in the innings. The England batter shimmed down the wicket, trying to take on Bumrah. However, he completely missed the delivery, which went on to shatter his wickets. Jasprit Bumrah also dismissed lower-order batters Brydon Carse and David Willey to finish off the innings.
