“I will go with Mumbai Indians as they have Quinton de Kock along with Rohit Sharma. There are two good banks there. Even if Quinton de Kock gets replaced by Ishan Kishan, it is again a very explosive pair. I will go with them,” Chopra said in a video on his YouTube channel responding to a fan query.

Mumbai even have good reserve openers in the form of Chris Lynn and Ishan Kishan. Kishan opened in a few matches when Rohit Sharma sat out for a few games last season.

Ishan ended up emerging as MI’s top-scoring player in the campaign with 516 runs in 14 games while the Proteas star aggregated 503 runs in 16 matches. Courtesy of his performances in the IPL as well as domestic cricket, Ishan even earned his maiden call-up to India’s T20I team and ended up scoring a half-century in his very first outing.
