Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) stalwart AB de Villiers has been an integral part of the franchise ever since he joined. Apart from batting, the former South Africa cricketer has also delivered with the wicket-keeping gloves on. As RCB begins their hunt for their maiden trophy, de Villiers is ready to assume more responsibilities and if needed he can support with the ball in hand.
Meanwhile, the Royal Challengers have been one of the underachievers in the competition. They have reached the finals on three occasions but failed to win the championship despite being the front-runners. Bangalore will be desperate to end their barren run as they look forward to IPL 2020 in the UAE.
Ready to help with the ball if needed – de Villiers
Like other seasons, RCB will once again massively depend on AB de Villiers and Virat Kohli if they have to go all the distance. The swashbuckling batsman seemed all pumped for IPL 2020. De Villiers even suggested that he is ready to help Kohli with the ball in hand if needed.
There has been no question about de Villiers’ commitment and cricketer is ready to give everything for the franchise in this IPL.

“I’ve always joked with Virat (Kohli) and I told him two nights ago, ‘If you need me with the ball in hand, I’ll be there’. I’ve never been a great bowler but I love toying around and keeping things fresh out there,” AB said in an episode of the ‘Bold Dairies’.
Meanwhile, Bangalore have been sweating it out in the UAE to fine-tune their skills for the 13th edition of IPL. The management has tried to solve the puzzle during the auctions last year. Despite that, their lower-order looks a bit wobbly and lack finishers in the side.
Royal Challengers Bangalore will begin their IPL 2020 campaign against Sunrisers Hyderabad on September 21 (Monday).
