Abhishek Sharma Questioned By The Police After Model Tania’s Suicide: Reports

SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) all-rounder Abhishek Sharma is involved in controversy as he was recently called in by local police following the suicide of Surat-based model Tania Singh.

Despite SRH’s recent challenges in the IPL, Abhishek remains a valuable asset, and his retention for the upcoming IPL 2024 season indicates the team’s confidence in his abilities.

However, his focus is currently shifted as he cooperates with the police following his connection to a recent controversy involving a tragic incident.

Tania, 28, a fashion designer and model with over 10,000 Instagram followers, tragically took her own life, as reported by Gujarat Tak. Her Instagram bio highlighted her roles as a disc jockey, makeup artist, and model.

Following the suicide in Surat, the police initiated an investigation, and during the process, SRH player Abhishek Sharma became a subject of interest. Abhishek had been in contact with Tania Singh, and it was revealed that she made her final call to the SRH all-rounder.

Consequently, Surat Police have called Abhishek Sharma in for questioning. According to Gujarat Tak, the model arrived home late last night and tragically ended her own life. Her family was devastated upon discovering her lifeless body.

Abhishek Sharma participated in the Ranji Trophy 2023-24 representing Punjab

Abhishek Sharma represented Punjab in the current Ranji Trophy 2023-24 season, with his team exiting during the group stage. In four matches, the all-rounder scored 199 runs at an average of 28.42 and took three wickets with his left-arm spin.

Despite Punjab’s elimination, Abhishek, retained by SunRisers Hyderabad for IPL 2024, had likely intended to shift focus to IPL preparations. However, he is now obligated to collaborate with the police due to the ongoing situation.

IPL 2024 is expected to start on March 22. SRH hasn’t done well in the past three seasons, but they’ve added big names like Pat Cummins, Travis Head, and Wanindu Hasaranga in the auction. The Orange Army aims to win their second championship this year.
