Sunrisers Hyderabad cricketer David Warner has witnessed a sharp downfall in his career in the ongoing IPL 2021. Starting the season as captain of the team, Warner was axed from the SRH XI for the 2nd time this season on Monday.

David Warner decided to stay in the team hotel instead of coming to the ground after being removed from the team in their last encounter versus the Rajasthan Royals. It is reported that the dashing Australian member was not included in the 18-member squad.

After being left in the team hotel for the second consecutive game, Warner seemed to have taken a dig at the SRH team management. He wrote in an Instagram story, “It’s not about who is real to you face. It’s about who stays real behind your back.”

SRH to bid goodbye to David Warner after IPL 2021

As the IPL 2021 season resumed in UAE,  David Warner featured in the playing X1 for the first two games for SRH but was able to score just 2 runs. He was then dropped from the squad and replaced by England opener Jason Roy who made a match-winning half-century for the team to help them secure only their second win of the season.

Jason Roy didn’t look in good touch in yesterday’s encounter where he scored just 2 runs in 7 balls. However, despite there being three games left for SRH in the league stages there seems to be no hope of David Warner’s comeback into the playing X1.

With the 2022 season set to see the first-ever mega action, it’s all cleared that David Warner will not be retained by Sunrisers Hyderabad, and nor will he receive any bids from the SRH management.

“Fresh auctions will be conducted next season. All teams will start fresh. SRH has done badly in the last two seasons so don’t we deserve a fresh start? Warner & SRH had a great association but it will be time to make a fresh start,” a report in Insidesports stated.

Sunrisers Hyderabad stand at the bottom of the IPL 2021 points table with just two wins to their name in 11 matches currently. They are also the first ones to drop out of contention for playoffs qualification this season. It’s been a total roller-coaster ride for David Warner and the Sunrisers Hyderabad this season.
