Afghanistan Bowler Noor Ahmad Mankads Pakistan’s Mohammad Huraira In U19 World Cup Quarter-Final

In the last Quarter-final of the super league in the ongoing U19 World Cup, Afghanistan Bowler Noor Ahmad , mankad out Pakistan's Mohammad Huraira. In a series of events it seems like the young Afghani bowler might have to face the heat from alot of the critics and will have to face criticism for the way he ran-out Mohammad Huraira.

In the recent dismissal, the bowler takes the bails off once he sees the non-striker leaving the crease before the ball is released.

The term Mankad has been used for this kind of dismissal since Indian player Vinoo Mankad controversially ran out Australia’s Bill Brown during a Test match in Sydney in 1947.

In this series of Mankad out it is seen that the Afghani bowler saw the non-striker Mohamamd Huraira out of the crease in the 28th over of the match when he was in his bowling action.

As soon as the bails were taken off the bowler Ahmad appealed and the umpires took it upstairs to the third umpire and the replays clearly showed that the batsman was out of his ground which made it evident that it was out and shown on the giant screen.

Pakistan chasing a total of 190 chased down the total without any problem, to book a semi-final date with old foes India. India have looked in tremendous form in this world cup and would like to continue their form against Pakistan.
