Hardik Pandya couldn”t recover in time as he failed to make it to the T20I and Test squads for the much anticipated Australian tour. Sights of his collapse on the ground during the game against arch-rivals Pakistan in the Asia cup still remains fresh across the fans as they were so pathetic to see. Later, reports revealed that it was a back injury and he needs some time to be back on the field.

Hardik Pandya opens up about his cricket, has this to say to his critics

In a recent video on his Twitter handle, Hardik Pandya was seen hitting the nets. While the clips on Monday gave a glimpse on his bowling abilities, today he was spotted with a bat and trying to defend it. Hardik mentioned, “Finding my form with the bat. Slowly but surely.” These clippings suggest that Hardik Pandya is eyeing for a comeback for the ODI series against Australia and New Zealand in January 2019.

India has a very limited number of matches ahead of 2019 Cricket World Cup and Hardik Pandya”s presence in those matches can help the side to formulate a better playing XI ahead of their first match.

Australian batting legend Michael Hussey has already mentioned that Hardik Pandya”s absence can have an impact on the outcome of the game as he played a vital role in 2017 home series.

His elder brother Krunal Pandya, who made his debut against Windies earlier this month has received a maiden overseas call-up in his absence. He has now been mentioned in the 12-member squad for the first T20I at Gabba and it will be interesting if he can make it to the side.
