Indian all-rounder, Hardik Pandya’s journey in the International arena has been a prolific one since his debut. Though there were few setbacks, the flamboyant player hasn’t failed to impress his fans in each and every format of the game. After succumbing to an injury in the Asia cup, he has been taking some time off the field.
In a recent exclusive interview with TOI, Hardik Pandya shared his thoughts on the upcoming World Cup. This will be his first appearance in a 50-over WC for the 25-year old if selected. Speaking on the same, he said that his focus is primarily on 2019WC and he isn’t distracted by several external factors. He also stressed the fact that if the team needs him to deliver more with the ball, he is ready to take up the role.
When asked about the criticism from legends of the game like Gavaskar and Holding, Hardik Pandya said that he takes it in a positive manner and they have complete right to comment on him. Pandya also mentioned he is worthy enough to speak about him and his performance.
It is to be noted that Hardik Pandya’s five-wicket haul and quickfire fifty were the primary reasons behind India’s only victory in the England test tour. Pandya came out all guns blazing in the game after Holding said that he isn’t performing up to the expectations.
